The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) is basically a Public University which is situated in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania which is officially accredited by Tanzania Commission for Universities.

The foundation of The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) took place in 1963 and its name got changed from time to time as :

  1. Teaching and learning about HIV/AIDS in Tanzania Schools

In this research paper MUHAS students highlighted various people who are unaware of HIV / AIDS and their consequences and thus they run various campaigns to make aware of the people.

  1. Health Insurance in Ghana and Tanzania: Addressing Equity and Accessibility

The overall vision for this venture was to partner­ship with Tanzania to enable all Tanzanians to take an active part in the country’s development and to ensure a continuation of its long history of peaceful coexistence, democracy and development. With this venture and objective, the three main strategic objectives of Denmark’s cooperation with Tanzania are to assist and promote the Tanzanian government’s efforts to:

  1. Reduce poverty and inequality and to ensure equal access of best and quality social services.
  2. Promote greenery growth.
  3. Employment that strengthen democracy.
  4. Good governance with a rule of law and respect for all human rights.
  5. Effects of Protein Calorie Supplementation on HIV disease in Breastfeeding women and women with TB:

This research journal indicated the harmful consequences and expensive treatment of Tuberculosis (TB) as it is the major cause of death and that increase its fatality when happens with HIV.

  1. Promoting the phase sown approach of dental amalgam in developing countries:

This program was to make people aware of the heinous carelessness of dental issues. How amalgam effects their dental routine was its part.

  1. Profile: Fogarty Global Health Fellow Dr Emmanuel Balandya studies sickle cell immunity:

This research was explained through an incident that once one brother and sister were playing in the clinic at Dar-es-Salaam’s Muhimbili National Hospital reminded Dr. Emmanuel Balandya why he chose to focus his research as a Fogarty Global Health Fellow on the role of immune cells in sickle cell disease. 6. Prevalence of hearing deficits and its association with HIV seroprevalence

A cross sectional study in HIV+ adults with frequency matching to HIV- controls:

The DarDar (Denotes Kiswahili word for sister, “dada”) Program was established in 2001 as a research collaboration between Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and has subsequently grown to include training programs (Dartmouth-Boston University Fogarty) and clinical care programs.
